(“GP Bulletin Nov 2010: Complementary healthcare regulation
GPs are asked to recommend patients who are seeking complementary therapies to consult with practitioners who are registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), where it registers the professional discipline concerned. The CNHC is a Government-sponsored, voluntary registration body for complementary healthcare practitioners. Its key function is to provide access to a list of practitioners that have been assessed as meeting national standards of competence and practice. Registration is currently voluntary and not all complementary healthcare practitioners from these disciplines are registered. This does not necessarily mean that they are not qualified, but it does mean that the CNHC knows nothing about their qualifications or experience. The CNHC will open the register to more disciplines over the next year”). [i]

Appointment durations etc., are listed under Fees.

Having worked with various charities over many years, he is well aware that those who are 'chronically ill' (i.e. for more than three months) often have little or no 'disposable income'. For that reason, trading as: 'Stan Gerard Associates', he was a partner in Aberdeen's Healthy Living Network - a body funded by the National Lotteries' New Opportunities Fund - and welcomed applications, in confidence, from individuals and/or groups of four or more people resident in Aberdeen encountering economic hardship. However, funding is no longer available.

The information provided on www.hypnotherapy-aberdeen.com (and subsequent/ linked pages) is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient and their physician. It is therefore wise to tell your doctor of any complementary treatment you are contemplating. In fact, in some cases, Stan Gerard may be reluctant to start treatment until you have done so.

For appointments or further information, please phone Stan Gerard at 'Serendipity' on 01224 - 213 808 or contact as above.
