is a registered spiritual healer, hypnotherapist and thought field therapy (TFT) practitioner. He holds a Diploma in Spiritual Healing awarded by the
Spiritualist's National Union DSNU(H) in 1996 and has been a full Memberof the National Federation of Spiritual Healers (MNFSH),
the largest healer organisation in the UK, since 1993. He qualified as a Hypnotherapist and was accepted as a Member of the
National Society of Professional Hypnotherapists (MNSPH) in 1994, an ongoing professional organisation of hypnotherapists based
in Blairgowrie, Scotland, since 1989.
As a result of his work and interest in complementery health research he liased with The Chief Scientist Office Edinburgh,
and members of the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, University of Aberdeen. Benefitting from the Health Services
and Public Health Research course at the Medical School, University of Aberdeen (1999-2000) he continued with a pilot-study on
restricted neck movement (RNM) with a paper published in the Journal of the Hypnotherapy Research Society (1999)
[see "Publications"], described by their Editor as, "an exciting clinical piece, ... albeit only
tangentially related to hypnotherapy: he has produced clinical data on some physical effects of spiritual healing - something
which is very hard to come by".
His pilot-study on RNM was followed-up by a randomised controlled trial (RCT) funded by Grampian Primary Care NHS Trust with
academic and statistical support by the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, University of Aberdeen.
